SATTE 2024 opens amidst record participation from exhibitors and buyers

In its largest ever edition, SATTE 2024 is all set to play the crucial role of a catalyst to rejuvenate domestic, regional, inbound and outbound tourism. The event is poised to serve as a cornerstone for the industry, fostering innovation, and connections, and propelling progress within the sector. Testament to its year-on-year growth, this edition boasts of remarkable figures with over 1,500 exhibitors and over 50,000 pre-registered trade attendees expected to attend the show from across India and the world, including 1000 domestic and international buyers.

Also, like in the previous edition when SATTE 2023 allied with Government of India to co-host the highly successful ‘SCO Mart’, once again SATTE 2024 this year has partnered with Government of India at the highest level. SATTE 2024, in association with Ministry of Commerce and Industries, Govt. of India, through Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC), is hosting 250 international buyers and delegates from across the world, as part of pioneering “ATITHI: An exclusive Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet” to further boost inbound tourism and enhance business opportunities for stakeholders from Indian tourism industry.

Vidyavathi Vice Minister, Secretary Tourism Govt. of India praised SATTE’s consistent success, emphasizing its pivotal role in shaping the future of the travel industry. She stated: “With India’s growing global presence, SATTE 2024 provides a timely platform to showcase India as the premium hospitality destination to the world, attracting tourists from across the globe. This premier event serves as a catalyst for forging new partnerships, driving economic growth, and fostering cultural exchange, further solidifying India’s position as a top choice for travellers seeking unforgettable experiences.”

The Honourable Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand. Sudawan Wangsuphakitkosol, also expressed her excitement about SATTE 2024, underscoring its significance in bolstering ties with the Indian tourism market. She remarked: “I am confident that SATTE 2024 will leave an indelible mark on the South Asian travel landscape, fostering enduring connections and driving regional cooperation towards global excellence in travel.”

SATTE 2024 continues its tradition of fostering partnerships with Indian states to promote inbound tourism, with Uttar Pradesh as the host state and several states including Bihar, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, and Uttarakhand as partner states. Moreover, eight Northeastern states are included as well. The participation of the Ministry of Tourism Govt. of India is a notable addition, further enhancing the event’s success.

The global platform of SATTE 2024 features prominent partner countries such as Saudi Arabia, Dubai, Mauritius, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Jamaica, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Maldives, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Danang Province of Vietnam, Chonburi Provincial of Thailand, Nepal, Sri Lanka, and Bhutan among others. Saudi Arabia is the Premium Partner Country for the event.

Day 3 will have a number of destination showcases.
